We’re committed to preserving agricultural heritage and so much more.
The Blau Road Farm has been in our family for three generations. Since the 1960’s, the property has been active farmland. Agriculture is an important part of Mansfield’s heritage and character. That’s why we’re committed to continue farming at the Blau Road Farm in addition to creating new economic value with our composting facility. The compost we’ll be manufacturing is a clean and natural enhancement to soil that will further help support agriculture.
We’re dedicating the portion of the property not being utilized for composting to continued use as a working farm.
Rockport Road Forest Conservation
71 acres of forest on Rockport Road has also been in our family for three generations. The property largely consists of undisturbed forest. We are in the process of developing a formal forestry preservation plan with the Department of Environmental Protection. Our forestry plan seeks to:
Promote new tree growth.
Manage and reduce the impact of invasive species.
Restore native woody shrubs and ground cover.
Maintain a habitat for native wildlife species.
